Course Overview
The Fashion Business Course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive
understanding of the structure, functions, and dynamics of the global and regional fashion
industries. Through an in-depth examination of topics such as fashion marketing, brand
development, product management, buying, merchandising, supply chain, sustainability,
and emerging technologies, students will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to
operate effectively within the contemporary fashion business environment.
The course is conducted in a hybrid format, with a combination of in-person and
online sessions (specific online sessions will be announced in advance). Classes are
held twice per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, each lasting two hours, for a total
of 25 sessions.
Attendance is mandatory, and active participation is a key component of the learning
process. Students are permitted a maximum of three absences over the entire duration of
the course.
Upon successful completion, students will have developed a critical understanding of
how fashion businesses function, from creative conception to market delivery. They will
be able to analyze the fashion value chain, evaluate brand strategies, and apply business principles relevant to both local (Lebanese and GCC) and international markets. This
course is particularly suited for students with an interest in pursuing careers in fashion
design, brand management, retail, marketing, or entrepreneurship within the fashion
sector.
